Japan Airlines will temporarily suspend flights between Hong Kong and Tokyo's Narita airport for three weeks starting from April 6 because of the fall in passenger demand following the March 11 earthquake and tsunami. A total of 42 JAL flights will be cancelled until April 27. Services between the city and Tokyo's Haneda airport have so far been unaffected. Japan Airlines will also reduce the number of flights between Narita and Beijing and Shanghai during the same period. There will be just one daily return flight to Beijing instead of the usual two, and two services each day to Shanghai, down from the current three.
