Cathay fliers may pay more for extra luggage
Cathay Pacific passengers may have to pay more for checking in extra baggage as the airline adopts a new allowance system from tomorrow, in a move introduced by the International Air Transport Association. Baggage allowances and charges for journeys on more than one airline will apply to the airline that carries the passenger for the longest part of the journey. The current practice of following industry-agreed allowances and charges will be abolished.
