IT HAS been confirmed. The race for the post of chairman of the Hong Kong Rugby Football Union will be contested between Stuart Leckie and Jamie Scott.

Presently chairman of the HKRFU, Leckie confirmed last night that he intends to seek re-election. He has to do this as his two-year tenure expires next month.

And in contention for his job will be Scott, presently HKRFU director of fixtures. Although Scott has another year to go in his present job, he will step down to contest Leckie for the top job at the AGM on June 23.

Scott has been nominated by development clubs Bulls RFC and the Women Rugby Players of Hong Kong - the two newest full voting members of the Union.

''I have a good rapport with the new clubs. I assisted them in their formation and lobbied for their admission to the Union so it is particularly pleasing to have their support,'' said Scott.

Leckie has been nominated by Club.
