FAVOURITE Erhaab and veteran jockey Willie Carson produced a blistering burst of speed in the last 100 metres to breeze past three front runners and win the Epsom Derby last night.

Carson, 52, earned his fourth victory in 26 rides in Britain's most prestigious classic race, with a brilliantly-timed late run.

Kings Theatre, ridden by popular Hong Kong regular Michael Kinane, was second.
