Intolerable

I RECALL about a year ago one of my neighbours in the Parc Oasis, Yau Yat Tsuen, wrote to these columns, complaining about learner drivers blocking an access road to Parc Oasis. The Transport Department replied and assured readers it would monitor the situation and take appropriate action, if necessary. I regret to say that the situation has never improved.

Every time I drive from my home, before I can reach Tat Chee Avenue, I have to get round two to three vehicles with learner drivers doing a three-point turn on that small strip of road. Considering that Parc Oasis has more than 800 car-parking spaces and that the road is the only access road to Parc Oasis, the existence of large numbers of learner drivers makes traffic conditions intolerable. May I have a positive response from the Transport Department? IVAN L. WONG Kowloon
