BERMUDA'S stock exchange has appointed a Hong Kong consultancy to help with the exchange's bid to attract listings of foreign companies.
International Securities Consultancy Group will provide information and guidance to Bermudan stock exchange staff.
An implementation team will work in conjunction with the consultancy and focus on issues such as system requirement on trading and settlement, and the finalisation of all exchange regulations.
Moreover, the exchange is updating regulations to bring the exchange's listing requirements in line with those of recognised stock exchanges throughout the world.
It is also exploring the possibility of becoming a 24-hour exchange, and examining a number of trading systems and services that would facilitate round-the-clock trading.
