THE former chairman of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange has started a legal battle to evict a second tenant from his Causeway Bay property.

Ronald Li Fook-shiu, 65, has issued a writ to oust Shiu Kam-lin from a shop in Tang Lung Street.

Last week, Mr Li started legal proceedings against another tenant, Lai Sing-yip, who runs the Kiu On Medicine Company in the same block.

Mrs Shiu, who pays $12,000 a month rent, has refused to leave since her tenancy expired in March.

Mr Lai, who runs the nearby Kiu On Medicine Company, has also failed to move out following the termination of his tenancy in June.

Mr Li was recently released from jail after serving a sentence for bribery.
