GOODS exported to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will be subjected to four per cent duty, the country's Department of Ports and Customs says.

Over half of the UAE's trade is with Asian partners, mainly Japan, China and India, with Europe accounting for less than 30 per cent of the total. Imports destined for the ruling family, government departments, diplomatic missions and recognised hospitals are exempt from duty.
