IF Cathay Pacific really wanted to make an impact with their new colour scheme, maybe they should have talked to Qantas first - that's IMPACT! One of the Australian airline's latest 747-400s has turned the flying kangaroo into a flaming, high-flying work of art.

Designed by a husband and wife team, the aircraft which jetted into Hong Kong from Sydney yesterday, is a 'one-off' creation.

A far cry from the conservative turquoise and grey insignia that Cathay has started painting on its fleet, Qantas gave its designers the go-ahead to create an ambience that demonstrated the best of Australia.

And for those wanting a closer inspection of the Aboriginal-inspired artwork, of course featuring flying kangaroos, the plane is due back in Hong Kong later today.
