US Robotics has launched its first Sportster V.34 modem.

The internal version of the modem will sell for US$329 while the external version is priced at $349 and the Mac version costs $369.

The Sportster V.34 Data/Fax modem includes the ITU-T V.34 standard for 28.8 Kbps communications. It is also backward-compatible with the Rockwell V.Fast Class 28.8 kilobits per second (Kbps) proprietary protocol, as well as the ITU-T V.32 bis 14.4 Kbps standard and other lower-speed protocols.
