WE got a pleasant taste of cross-culture when attending the opening yesterday of sistyr moon at the bottom end of Wyndham Street.

Behind the fashion boutique are Cassian Lau and his fiancee June Lee, both of whom migrated to Toronto as teenagers but have now returned to bring a little bit of Canada to Hong Kong.

Says Cassian: 'At sistyr moon we hope to offer clothes designed by top Canadian designers, some of whom are keen to break into the Asian market. In time we want to try and introduce various other fashion aspects from Canada'.

Even while they were setting up shop it attracted attention. At least two well-known tai-tais were spotted peering into the premises from behind their designer shades to see what was up.

The clothes even hit an eco-friendly note. All the price tags carry the message: 'Please be kind to animals'.
