Las Vegas resort on cards
GAMBLING mogul Steve Wynn has revealed plans for a 3,000-room resort on its own island in the middle of the Las Vegas Strip, according to the Associated Press.
The Beau Rivage resort will be the latest in a series of resorts featuring pyramids, pirates and volcanoes, designed to lure families to Las Vegas.
The 46-storey hotel and grounds, which will cost up to US$900 million to build, will open in 1997.
Mr Wynn is chairman of Mirage Resorts.
