Comic characters stage grand Christmas return
LEAPING out of the pages of popular Hong Kong comic books and coming to life on stage are the characters of Old Master Q , a delightful musical presented by the Chung Ying Theatre Company.
The show is film director Clifton Ko Chi-sum's theatre treatment of Alphonso Wong's evergreen comics.
Tickets for the six performances in November are all sold out, but Chung Ying is giving 12 extra shows in December as a Christmas treat. The performances will be given at the Drama Theatre of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.
Old Master Q will be performed by an all-Chung Ying cast, with Alan Wong as Old Master Q and Lee Chun-chow as Dai Fan Shu.
The Christmas schedule is as follows: December 15-18, 20-21, 23 and 26 at 7.30 pm daily.
December 17-18, 24 and 26 at 2.30 pm.
