SHENZHEN police, aided by Hong Kong Interpol officers, arrested three men in connection with the kidnap of a Hong Kong businessman.
The victim, surnamed Cheung, was robbed of cash and valuables at his Shenzhen shrimp farm before being taken away by six men armed with knives.
Three men were arrested at a Dongguan hotel after asking Mr Cheung's family to deliver a $500,000 ransom, China's Legal Daily said.
The senior inspectors from Hong Kong had gone to the mainland to help co-ordinate the arrests, it said.
