WHAT a pity British Formula One driver Damon Hill failed to clinch the world championship in the final race in Adelaide yesterday. Hill had an extra incentive for winning the title - brought about by his overnight stay at the Regent two weeks ago. He unsuccessfully demanded a discount because, he claimed after doing an interview with STAR TV by the hotel poolside: 'I am giving the hotel a lot of free publicity.' Had he won the championship, of course, generous discounts in all the best hotels in Hong Kong would have been offered without him even having to ask. Next season, perhaps, Damon!
