THE Consumer Council will today urgently investigate whether any of the territory's shops stock 10 toys described over the weekend as 'dangerous and potentially lethal to children'.

The claims were made by an American lawyer, Edward Swartz, founder of the consumer advocacy group World Against Toys Causing Harm, who released his list of the '10 worst toys'.

Consumer Council spokesman Kenneth So Wai-sing said: 'We will certainly see if they are or were available in Hong Kong. If they are we will want to find out whether they comply with our standards,' he said.
