Baseballer critically hurt in collision with teammate

An amateur baseballer was fighting for his life in Queen Elizabeth Hospital after he collided with a teammate during a group B game hosted by the Baseball Association in Sha Tin. The 29-year-old man, who works for a claims adjuster in Cheung Sha Wan, and a 27-year-old teammate were outfielders for team Nine West II when the accident occurred at about midday at Lion Rock Park. They collided while trying to catch a ball during a game against Cubs B of the Sha Tin Sport Association. The 29-year-old was taken unconscious to hospital. His teammate was only slightly hurt.
