KPMG hosted a themed 'KPMG's Got Talent' annual dinner at the Shanghai Automotive Exhibition Centre. The event on December 17 was attended by about 2,500 people. The JW Marriott Hotel Shanghai was in charge of the event set-up, food and beverages.
The hotel's objective was to support its client's aspirations and to exceed expectations.
Communication was held with KPMG a few months before the event to make sure the hotel understood its needs. The hotel also kept in close contact with cluster hotels (Marriott, Renaissance, Courtyard and Ritz-Carlton) in Shanghai because it had to borrow staff.
The hotel needed to ensure service quality by engaging 450 service staff and 110 kitchen staff. The hotel also had to transport all the kitchen equipment, ovens and serving equipment to the event location.
The event was executed smoothly, with 2,500 people being served for nearly four hours. Although the staff came from different hotels, they worked closely as a team to provide professional service.
