Incentive travel from Taiwan to Australia is expected to continue growing in the coming years, according to Faline Lin, business events manager, north Asia, at Tourism Australia, based in Taipei. She says most MICE travel from Taiwan to Australia are incentives tours from the industries that are sales-target driven, such as direct selling, insurance and commercial banking.
She says Taiwan organisers are experienced in incentive travel and they prefer a special venue for a gala dinner and like to get involved in unusual activities, such as a gala dinner in a rain forest, or teambuilding by sailing on Darling Harbour in Sydney.
'Taiwan organisers like to get involved in very detail,' she adds.
She says an incentive group from a luxury car brand visited Hamilton Island, a leading resort in Australia's Great Barrier Reef, during which a special teambuilding activity took place on Whitehaven Beach.
