MICE business at hotels in Shanghai received a boost last year with the World Expo 2010, which attracted 70 million visitors during the six-month period, together with the government's initiative to drive domestic travel and encourage large organisations to meet in Shanghai for the Expo, according to Henrietta Ho, executive assistant manager - sales and marketing at the Hyatt on the Bund. The Hyatt on the Bund has been named as an 'outstanding performance unit' by the Shanghai Foreign Affairs Office for receiving important government delegations in recognition of the hotel's high standard in facilities and service qualities.

Ho says there has been an increase in corporate groups as more people learn about the hotel.
