The Rasa Sentosa Resort reopened in January as Shangri-La's Rasa Sentosa Resort after an S$80 million (HK$493.74 million) renovation lasting 10 months.

General manager Ben Bousnina says the resort has been repositioned to cater for the deluxe market, rather than families. 'We have realigned our products to cater to different groups,' he says. 'We also want to be a resort that works well for MICE groups.'

Bousnina says the resort has a large room inventory to cater to large meeting groups, and hopes to 'lead the way in providing a creative mix of MICE services, and to give organisers more choice and flexibility'.
