If you have impeccable taste in the high life, then the Dolce Vita lifestyle show wants you

Celebrating its fifth anniversary this year, TVB Pearl's English-language lifestyle show Dolce Vita is looking for a new face to add to its line-up of hosts, which features Jason Chan and (from left, above) Marcus Kwok, Rabeea Yeung, Crystal Li, Desmond So and Angela Tong.

The hosts will launch a citywide open recruitment drive on Saturday at Causeway Bay's Windsor House mall.

'We're always looking for new faces for the show because our hosts are also busy with projects,' said programme producer Maria Leung Kim-hang. She said the ideal candidate would be a paragon of all things Dolce Vita, including gourmet food, high-end watches, couture fashion and luxury travel. 'We want someone who has impeccable taste, and won't just read from the script,' she said.

The last time Dolce Vita recruited on such a scale was when it was starting out. During its five-year run, most of the hosts were recruited in-house. 'Some of them were from the Miss Hong Kong and Mr Hong Kong pageant,' Leung said.

Celebrity hairstylist Kim Robinson, socialite Bonnie Gokson and chef Charmaine Cheung are on the judging panel. While reluctant to reveal how candidates would be judged, Leung gave an example. 'We might take them to high-end restaurants to test their table manners and knowledge of wine.'

Just make sure you know how to pronounce all the brand names properly, Leung said.

Log on to pearl.tvb.com/dvrecruit to apply. Registration ends on April 29 and the result will be announced mid-May.
