Union highlights unfair contracts

Some companies are using the city's first statutory minimum wage of HK$28 an hour to exploit grass-roots workers, a union says. The Service Industry General Union said many of its members were being forced to sign new contracts that would see their monthly salaries drop before the implementation of the wage floor on May 1. The workers were mostly security guards with little bargaining power.
