Office worker admits falsifying tax claim

A clerk yesterday admitted forging documents and submitting them to the Inland Revenue Department in an attempt to reduce her employer's tax bill by HK$750,000. Hui Yuen-yee, 37, pleaded guilty in Eastern Court to conspiracy to use a false instrument over a fake receipt she made with her brother-in-law, Chan Por, showing that Union Consultancy had bought 57 computers. Sentencing was adjourned to May 4 pending a community service order report, and Hui was released on bail.
