Fun at the farm and in town
Working for a day on a farm can be fun. So can a walk around the city with a new iPad in hand. In both cases, you can enjoy a day outdoors before the summer heat hits. Young Post invites junior reporters to two upcoming events.
In the first, the HKFYG Organic Farm in Yuen Long will welcome a group of young reporters to try their hand at organic farming in the morning on Good Friday, April 22.
We'll meet at Kowloon Tong and head to the farm together. The tour will be conducted in Cantonese.
To take part, e-mail us at email@example.com. Make sure to include your full name, age, school and contact number. Write 'growing organic' in the subject field. The deadline for applications is Monday, April 18.
The second event will feature a fun new cultural tour around Sham Shui Po, from 2.30pm to 4.30pm on Thursday, April 28. You will be lent an iPad, which at certain stops along the way will give you pictures of what those places once used to look like. The highlights of the tour will include a pawn shop and an old eatery.
After the tour, you will be asked to write a brief report on your experiences during the day. The tour will be conducted in Cantonese, with English content on the iPad.
If you want to take part, e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your full name, age, school and contact number. Write 'iPad SSP' in the subject field.
