A man accused of throwing corrosive fluid on a neighbour because he was angry about barking dogs appeared in the District Court yesterday. John Chiu Chi-tak, 60, a merchant, pleaded not guilty to splashing retiree Chow Kam-man after midnight on September 28. Chiu was also accused of shouting and swearing at Chow in Tai Wan village, Sai Kung, where both men live. A chemist concluded burns found on Chow's clothing were caused by sulphuric acid.
