Accountant takes over ESF board

An accountant whose children went to English Schools Foundation schools has been elected the new chairman of the foundation's board. Carlson Tong Ka-shing succeeds Professor Felice Lieh Mak and will serve for three years. ESF chief executive Heather Du Quesnay and Secretary for Education Michael Suen Ming-yeung yesterday welcomed his election. Tong was born and raised in Hong Kong. He retired as chairman of KPMG China and Asia-Pacific last month.
