The goods

Joint venture

American label Opening Ceremony has created a capsule collection for spring-summer in collaboration with Lane Crawford. The line features popular pieces from the brand's previous collections, reworked with new fabrics and colours. We like the classic stripes on the button-up short-sleeve shirt (HK$2,200) and yellow chinos (both left; HK$2,400). For something in more muted colours, there's the jersey shirt (HK$3,500) and patchwork khaki, black and white cargo shorts (both far left; HK$3,300). The collection is available at Lane Crawford, IFC Mall, Central, tel: 2118 3388.

Step forward

If the chic, simple style of Twins for Peace trainers doesn't win you over, the European label's philanthropic mission certainly will: for each pair of trainers sold a child in a developing country will receive a pair of shoes that have been made in a factory set up by the label and a local NGO. For summer, we love the classic style in bright turquoise (top; HK$650) and the boubou version in red, black and white (above; HK$900). Twins for Peace is available at Kapok, 5 St Francis Yard, Wan Chai, tel: 2549 9254.

Minimal exposure

Ever the champions of minimalism, French label APC's spring-summer collection once again features clean lines, simple silhouettes and the bare minimum in terms of detail and embellishment. Individual pieces are easy to integrate into any wardrobe and are cut with comfort in mind. We like classics such as the pale blue blazer (HK$4,699), bright red button-up shirt (HK$1,999) and simple white trainers (all above; HK$2,599). APC is at 66 Paterson Street, Causeway Bay, tel: 2895 6623.
