'He will definitely keep improving'

Jockey Howard Cheng Yue-tin and trainer Me Tsui Yu-sak enjoyed the sweet smell of success for the first time with Scent Of Osmanthus claiming the MacWhinnie Cup (1,400m). The horse overpowered Breeze Of Luck by three-quarter of a length and has more wins to come, according to Cheng. 'Scent Of Osmanthus is an improved horse, he showed that he was coming along last time when he ran into third and today he's done better again,' Cheng said. 'I think he is better once he gets to the outside, and he'll definitely keep improving. There has been a change in everything he does now, last season he was very green but now he is more focussed, and, as a Subscription Griffin, he may have just needed more time.' Tsui bagged win 33, while Cheng grabbed number 34 to pass Gerald Mosse and sit equal fifth on the jockeys' table alongside Matthew Chadwick.
