Peter Chan Ho-sun's Wu Xia makes its debut at the Cannes Film Festival tomorrow, but Tsui Hark has stolen his thunder with a publicity poster for his upcoming summer 3-D blockbuster Flying Swords of Dragon Gate appearing on the cover of trade journal The Hollywood Reporter yesterday.

The poster features the film's star, Jet Li Lianjie, dressed as a swordsman and pitted against a red background and Tsui's calligraphy of the film's title. The poster's tag line heralds the reunion of Tsui and Li - perhaps referring to the Once Upon A Time in China series that propelled Li (playing martial arts master Wong Fei-hung) to stardom in the 1990s.

The poster is the teaser to a 'dragon gate banquet' party on the Carlton Beach at Cannes on Sunday, when Martin Yan will conjure up dishes especially designed for the occasion. Tsui and Li (inset) will attend, alongside the film's producer - Tsui's wife Nansun Shi, who is on the festival jury with Johnnie To Kei-fung.
