Panalpina, the freight forwarding and logistics group, has launched a second dedicated air cargo service between Hong Kong and Huntsville, Alabama, in the US, using a Boeing 747-400 freighter from Atlas Air. The service is the first direct flight from Huntsville to Hong Kong. Matthias Frey, a senior executive with Panalpina's airfreight division, said: 'Using the Boeing 747-400F for this route enables us to offer a strong focus on temperature-sensitive cargo and pharmaceuticals transport.' The turnaround routing would also increase flexibility and reduce transport time, he said.
