Trainer Tony Millard is just two wins short of his best season - numerically at any rate - after Lucky Nistelrooy provided jockey Jeff Lloyd with the first leg of his double. With three Group One victories, thanks to Ambitious Dragon, Millard is already enjoying his best Hong Kong year, but on the bare numbers of it, he has never topped 34 winners and the modest Class Four galloper took him to 32 yesterday. 'The race panned out perfectly on him,' said Lloyd, who added Blaze King later. 'Lucky Nistelrooy is limited but he's a trier. With a light weight in this grade he can continue to be competitive.'
