Photographer's work reveals a different side to the famous and artsy

Few people can boast that they've had the chance to capture actress Maggie Cheung Man-yuk on film in her bath robe - but photographer Terry Richardson has done just that.

His exhibition at the ART HK fair features photos of city A-listers such as actress Josie Ho Chiu-yee, actor Simon Yam Tat-wah and his model wife Qiqi. Also featured are famous artsy types, including Wong Kar-wai's one-time cinematographer Christopher Doyle, filmmaker Kam Kwok-leung and celebrity photographer Wing Shya.

The photos, taken in 2007 when Richardson was in town for his exhibition at a Diesel store, captured the stars looking quite different from the on-screen image we're used to seeing. Not that this explains why Richardson has also included a photo of a Central bag lady in the collection.

Many of the celebrity subjects showed up at Wednesday's exhibition opening, where Richardson also unveiled a book featuring all the photos. The book is available at the Diesel booth until the fair ends on Sunday.
