They say that in fashion, one day you're in, and the next day you're out. But it seems out always finds a way to get back in again.

Max & Co launched a 1950s-inspired capsule collection, Notte, to coincide with its store opening at the IFC Mall on Wednesday. Guests including models Vanessa Yeung Tsang and Carrie Lam, and entrepreneur Christie Wo channelled the Grace Kelly look, arriving in knee-length vintage-looking dresses.

There were also a few special guests at the cocktail party wearing identical dresses from the Notte collection - so it looks like the 50s are officially back in style.

The girls did rounds of the shop checking out the party dresses, sipping strawberry champagne cocktails and posing for photos holding onto the miniature dress-shaped cookies being served, rather than eating them.

DJ Miss Yellow, who's usually more street-cool than peachy sweet, manned the decks.
