A frenzied finish to the day for stewards had Kim Kelly looking forward to a cold drink after the chief stipe outed Douglas Whyte on a careless-riding charge in race eight before opening an enquiry into Mark du Plessis' handling of the heavily supported Fun Heroes in the last after the horse being ridden on the speed. Whyte was outed for two meetings for his winning ride on National Treasure, in which he was careless approaching the 1,200m mark as he crossed from barrier 12. He will begin that suspension after Wednesday's Happy Valley, and returns for the meeting set down for June 19 at Sha Tin.
