You can learn about social justice this summer during Global Elites 2011, an event organised by the Roundtable Community.

Set up in 2004, the Roundtable Community is made up of young scholars interested in cultural and social issues. It creates a platform for the young to exchange ideas and build a diversified culture.

General manager Ian Li Chi-fai thinks the theme of social justice is timely. 'It is a response to [recent] sociopolitical developments in Hong Kong,' Li said. 'The enthusiasm of youths was revealed in their participation, such as in the anti-express-railway movement.'

Seminars, a training camp, leadership workshops and a model United Nations conference will be held. Students aged 15 to 19 may apply on www.roundtable by June 17.

Young Post has eight Saturday seminar slots for Junior Reporters. If you are interested to write about your experience afterwards, e-mail with your name, age, school and daytime contact number. Put 'Roundtable' in the subject field.
