Beyond the pale

Hong Kong designer Lu Lu Cheung cuts cool, simple lines in pale nude shades for a light and breezy summer look. We love this pink-nude dress with ruffle detail (above right; HK$3,800) and the off-white rose-collared baby doll dress (above left; HK$3,800). Lu Lu Cheung is at 50 Wellington Street, Central, tel: 2537 7515.

Top hats

You'll be needing a colourful wide-brimmed sunhat for hot and humid days at the beach. Kate Spade does a fabulous pink-rimmed floppy version (left; HK$800). Bright colours are central to the accessories label's collection this season, which is great news for those who love girlish bold hues and styles. Kate Spade is in Pacific Place, Admiralty, tel: 2116 4998.

Girl power

Fashion titan Karl Lagerfeld has chosen Gossip Girl star Blake Lively to be the official face of the Chanel Mademoiselle bag range this year. With an iconic diamond-cushioned motif and chain-link strap, the bags are instantly recognisable while colour options such as bright red, blue and jade green give the line a youthful stamp. We like the small jade green version and the patent navy bag with white check (both below; HK$25,300 each). Chanel is at Prince's Building, Central, tel: 2810 0978.

Stay grounded

As much as we love glamorous heels, Celine gives us some comfy flats to drool over this season. We love the masculine kidskin moccasin loafer in white (above; HK$6,800) and the vegetal brown leather sandals (top; HK$5,600) that have a touch of the vintage about them. Celine is in The Landmark, Central, tel: 2525 1281.
