Hong Kong's gamble in fielding an under-21 side for the Interport backfired after the city lost 1-0 to Macau at Siu Sai Wan Stadium yesterday. Only 267 spectators turned up for the annual showpiece and were left disappointed as Macau lifted the 67th edition of the trophy. Hong Kong had to make do with an under-21 side as most of the city's First Division players were on summer break. Nicholas Torrao scored the only goal five minutes before half-time, capitalising on some sloppy defending before directing a shot past goalkeeper Chiu Yu-ming.
