Fresh takes
American label Gitman Vintage specialises in modern interpretations of classic men's button-down shirts. We love the label's use of fresh pastels in a check print (below right; HK$1,300) and an unusual style that combines stripes and colour blocks (above right; HK$1,400). Gitman Vintage is available at Kapok, 5 St Francis Yard, Wan Chai, tel: 2549 9254.

Givenchy's spring-summer collection is not for the meek. Body-hugging all-in-ones and skin-tight trousers feature, along with the label's signature immaculately cut suits and leopard print. The sharp white suit (right; HK$27,900) is eye-catching and, as we're not averse to taking risks, we also pick the black bomber (HK$15,900) worn with a leopard-skin top (HK$12,800) and leggings (all far right; HK$2,690). Givenchy is at Ocean Centre, Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui, tel: 2735 2361.
The 50s show
Traditional shoemaker JM Weston has recruited avant-garde fashion and music label Kitsune to reinterpret some of its classic styles. Fans of American preppy fashion, the designers were inspired by photographs of the Hamptons from the 1950s. The tan ankle boots (left; HK$8,000) recall the golf shoes of the time. We also like the two-tone calf-skin moccasins (far left; HK$5,450). JM Weston is in IFC Mall, Central, tel: 2234 7288.
