Late singer's mother hit with bankruptcy bid

A law firm has taken out a bankruptcy petition against the mother of late singer Anita Mui Yim-fong after she failed to pay HK$2.24 million in legal fees she racked up during the legal battle for her daughter's fortune. Chiu, Szeto & Cheng Solicitors submitted the petition to the High Court on Friday after Tam Mei-kam, 87 (below), failed to comply with a court order to pay the fee. Hikers call police after running into angry bees

Three men and a woman sought police assistance yesterday morning after bees attacked them during a hiking trip in Tung Chung. The group of South Asians were walking from Shek Mun Kap to Ngong Ping when they encountered the bees. They did not go to hospital. Staff Reporter
