Cathy Tsui delivers Uncle Four a fourth grandson, and he makes it official

Henderson Land boss Lee Shau-kee apparently already has plans for his new grandson to play a significant role in his business empire, even though the boy's barely a week old.

Former model-actress Cathy Tsui Chi-kei, the wife of the tycoon's son Martin Lee Ka-shing, gave birth last week and the announcement was released on Tuesday through Henderson, rather than on a Weibo, or microblog, account, as has been the case in a number of high society births in recent months. The boy, who has not yet been named, was delivered by Caesarean section.

According to Henderson spokeswoman Bonnie Ngan Suet-fong, the boy weighed 2.7kg and was delivered earlier than expected.

'There will certainly be a party to celebrate, but it's too early to set a date and venue,' she said.

Even though Tsui, 28, has said she has never felt any pressure from her father-in-law to produce a male heir, she has certainly been productive, having given birth to three children in less than five years. Married in 2006, the couple also have two daughters, Leanna and Hayley. It's understood, however, that since her husband's elder brother, Peter Lee Ka-kit, produced boy triplets with a surrogate mother in the US last July, Tsui had been eager to have a son herself.

About 1,500 Henderson Land employees will each receive HK$10,000 in lai see money at the end of this month in celebration of the birth.

'We are so happy to welcome the new family member. Our home is filled with even more love and joy,' the couple said.

Henderson employees will undoubtedly be wishing that Tsui will bring more joy to the family in the future.
