'Derek's ride made him look good - maybe better than he is'

Trainer John Moore was happy to hand the credit to recently graduated rider Derek Leung Ka-chun when Supreme Knight won his third race for the season. Supreme Knight camped on a soft tempo set by Arion Of Chiu Ton, then outran him in the straight to win clearly, but Moore wasn't getting carried away. 'I think Derek's ride made him look good - maybe better than he is. He flew the gates and got him in the right spot and that was the story of the race with the slow tempo,' he said. 'Still, Supreme Knight has won three this season, not too many can say they have done that, so he's done his job.' The success left Moore still six wins behind trainers' championship leader Tony Cruz with three meetings left.
