Mixed fortunes for young prodigy after two-meeting ban spoils day

Matthew Chadwick will miss the season finale on July 10 after stewards found him guilty of careless riding aboard Space Race in the main event - the members Cup - yesterday. Chadwick caught a two-day suspension and HK$40,000 fine and, with just three meetings left, he will ride on Friday, then call full time. He did manage to get away with the Class Five 1,800m though on King Galileo for Andreas Schutz. The four-year-old had no luck with the draw again, but at least got a decent tempo which allowed him to run on from the rear this time and win. 'I thought he was ready to win a couple of starts ago but he really needs everything to go his way in a race and he didn't have that until today,' Chadwick said.
