Two young children have died of a disease called scarlet fever. One was a five-year-old boy and the other a seven-year-old girl.

The disease is usually easily cured. But this is a new version of the disease that is spreading very quickly. People who catch the disease have a rash and a very red tongue. They need to see a doctor for help.

You can do your bit by making sure you wash your hands very well and telling mum or dad if any of your friends feel sick.
