Scrub off the worries of the day - and all your dead skin, to keep your face looking fresh this summer.

Benefit Cleanse Refined Finish Facial Polish (HK210 / 127.5g)

You only need a little of this gentle scrub to polish skin. Not strong enough for a deep, down detox, but good for a regular clean. Great retro packaging!

Kiehl's Pineapple Papaya Facial Scrub (HK$265 / 100ml)

The exfoliating grains are far from fine, so feel a bit scratchy. But it does smell really good, and leaves skin refreshed, which almost makes up for it.

DHC Facial Scrub (HK141 / 100g)

The silvery, metallic scrub looks unappealing from first glance. The apricot seed granules aren't finely milled enough, so are too abrasive on sensitive skin, even if you massage very lightly.

The Body Shop Seaweed Pore Cleansing Facial Exfoliator (HK159 / 75ml)

The addition of seaweed means the smell isn't amazing, but this is hydrating without being oily, so it's ideal for normal to oily skin. The exfoliating jojoba beads do their job and leave skin soft and clean.

L'Occitane Ultra Rich Face Scrub with Shea Butter (HK$230 / 100ml)

At this price, you hope a product lives up to its promise; this does, especially on dry, sensitive skin. Ground nut shells make a gentle yet effective exfoliant. The shea is rich and thick; a little goes a long way.
