Event is a source of satisfaction for buyers
Taking place concurrently at the Convention and Exhibition Centre will be the 8th Hong Kong Trade Development Council's Summer Sourcing Show for Gifts, Houseware and Toys. This synergy is expected to attract more buyers to both fairs, at which they can enjoy an excellent one-stop sourcing experience.
One of the highlights of this year's Summer Sourcing Show is the Treasure Island zone, bringing together top-quality exhibitors displaying design-led brands and collections.
'The creativity of the booths and the sophisticated surroundings of this special zone are a reflection of the quality of the companies taking part,' a fair organiser says.
With so many products on show, the fairground will be divided into easily negotiable zones.
There's a new look this year, with themed zones rearranged in keeping with key trends. In addition to the Treasure Island zone, the Gifts and Premiums zone is home to top-notch suppliers. The Home Tech and Electronic Gifts zone taps into the latest gadgets for home and personal use. The Green Gifts and Houseware zone pays homage to energy saving and environmentally friendly items.
There is also the Designers' Corner, the Fun & Play zone, and the Home Living zone. Be sure not to miss the new Luxury Gifts zone, focusing on excellence in design and creativity. The timing of the show allows buyers to place last-minute orders for delivery before the festive shopping season.
The show organiser says the event offers great opportunities for buyers and exhibitors to mingle, negotiate agreements and examine products in detail. Because it takes place outside the traditional spring and autumn sourcing seasons, it provides opportunities to search for last-minute items for the coming holiday season, cope with shorter product cycles and replenish just-in-time inventories.
Private Jewellery designer Anita So, of Osatina Jewellery, is especially proud of the Shanghai Renaissance collection. 'It consists of decorative silk buttons that come in fantastic colours and patterns adorning the qipao and are matched with the glow of freshwater pearls and colour-sapphire silver beans,' So says. 'Simple, yet outstanding. Modern, yet nostalgic.'
Be'vish Jewellery designer and exhibitor Joanna Hui is focusing on her simple, but elegant functional jewellery which she has called her 'Message in Bottle collection'. 'Customers can put their messages in my collection to send to their friends as a gift,' she says. Exquisite brand Crystocraft, of United Art Metals Factory, will also be at the fair and Lam Pui-chi is confident buyers will be impressed with their latest collections.
'Like the metamorphosis of a butterfly, Crystocraft transformed from a passionate metal giftware producer into a promising brand with bold creativity, eagerness for reform and aspiration to perfection,' Lam says. 'Inspired by butterflies spreading their wings in harmony to embrace the mother's nature, Crystocraft believes in cherishing every single moment of our life journey, and sharing the joy and happiness through its craftsmanship and artistry that resonates with people's heart.'
Also at the fair will be ZN Concept, which was established in Hong Kong 11 years ago.
'The mission of ZN is to provide designer jewellery at an affordable price to the public,' says ZN Concept's Jackie Lam.
The show will also feature several activities to add value to the overall experience, and the organiser is urging visitors to take advantage of them.
The Product Demo and Launch Pad provides suppliers with a platform to introduce products to a wide audience and interact with buyers. Seminar topics cover issues related to gifts, toy safety and online group purchasing, featuring expert speakers.
