Police card left behind after scuffles

First it was a pistol, then a baton; now, a warrant card is the latest item to be dropped by the police during confrontations with demonstrators.

Jo Lee Wai-yee, a member of People Power, picked up the warrant card outside Bank of China Tower in Central after the scuffles on Friday night. The card belongs to senior inspector Yue Fu-keung and was returned to an officer at the scene.

A police spokesman confirmed a tactical unit officer had dropped the card and reported the matter to his senior officer. The spokesman refused to say if there was a need to improve the quality of their equipment.
