Sales plunge 17.7pc due to cooling measures

Hong Kong property sales fell 17.7 per cent in the first six months of 2011 compared to the second half of last year to 70,323 transactions, due to cooling measures and surging mortgage rates, Centaline said. The total sales amount sank by 2.4 per cent to about HK$369.3 billion. Paggie Leung
