Ride the wave
Young Korean label Groundwave's new hybrid collection mixes natural fabrics with hi-tech materials. Expect garments with modern silhouettes and relaxed tailoring, such as the grey and black jacket (HK$5,990) and matching trousers (both below; HK$2,790). Sliced jackets, such as the black jacket with three- quarter sleeves (right; HK$5,590), are another common motif of the collection. Groundwave is available at Harvey Nichols, The Landmark, central, tel: 3695 3388.
Fendi fans will be happy to see a range of trainers in the label's footwear collection this season. Simple, modern forms are coupled with washed leather, canvas or suede. We love the bright yellow high-cut trainers (above; HK$5,080), which will brighten up any look. Fendi is at 1 Peking Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, tel: 2269 5033.
If you're looking for a cool and comfortable shirt for summer, check some of the options from This is Not a Polo Shirt. Founded by Council of Fashion Designers of America award winner Scott Sternberg, the label makes slim-cut polo shirts from high-quality soft Japanese cotton. We suggest classic navy and white stripes (right; HK$1,590) or two-tone green and navy (far right; HK$1,790). This is Not a Polo Shirt is available at Harvey Nichols.
Under the bonnet
Paul Smith has created a series of bags using vintage photographs of a Mini and its engine for spring-summer. The images have been digitally printed on a range of structured canvas bags. We like the folio bag with antique engine print (right; HK$3,550) and the wash bag with a Mini car print (below; HK$1,350). Paul Smith is in The Landmark, tel: 2523 5868.
