His muscles taut in tight denim, Donnie Yen's hotter than the hot dogs at True Religion launch
Martial arts star Donnie Yen Ji-dan often slips into a pair of jeans when he's not in the thick of the action on the big screen.
So he was probably comfortable being the centre of attention at US denim brand True Religion's store opening in IFC mall on Thursday with his model wife, Cissy Wang. They were at the ribbon-cutting ceremony and celebrity party, attracting a swarm of fans. Guests at the carnival-themed event were fed hot dogs and popcorn.
Yen said he liked trendy clothes that flattered his body shape. Wang, who is also his personal shopper, said his jeans also had to be comfortable. Bombarded with questions about his future plans, Yen simply expressed a desire to spend more time with his family, stressing that he was strict about his children's education.
With the Hong Kong premiere of his new film, Swordsmen, just around the corner, he said, 'Actors should play roles they like', but admitted he was eager to see how local audiences reacted to the film. He should at least be pleased by the reaction of fans seeing him in those tight, muscle-hugging denims.
